| My company runs background screens on all of our employees. Can we use those for training at ISTC? |
| The facilities that require a background screen require it to be processed through one of the Safety Council Security Consortium (SCSC) members with a qualified vendor in the program.If the background screen ran by your company has been ran through one of the SCSC qualified vendors through a participating safety council, then it will be acceptable for training at ISTC. Consult your local safety council to confirm if they are within the SCSC.

| How do I become a Background member? |
Complete the following steps:
Before receiving ISTC Online Access Credentials new clients must make the 50.00 payment to setup a background account if they are not currently a member. This payment must be made prior to enrollment process. This fee also allows enrollment into ALL of the vendors ISTC offers.

After the fee is processed an “Online Scheduling Agreement” is needed.

After receiving ISTC Online Access Credentials ISTC clients will log into the extranet (x-net) website. Login
Using the client id, username and password given in the online scheduling agreement, access your client profile.
NOTE: If the note “Invalid Client ID/Username/Password combination,” call the background department to verify the information entered.
Click the blue login button directly under the password box. Scroll over the tab labeled XNET Admin. Inside of the drop down box the client will select Client View. Locate the section labeled “Background Check”. Notice the vendors ISTC uses for background checks. Click on “Set up Background account”. This option will turn from blue to red when the cursor is placed on it.
NOTE: ISTC Employees are not allowed to encourage a client in anyway towards a vendor. The selection should be based solely on the client’s decision. Clients have an option to enroll in any or all vendors. Unsure which vendor to select visit this link: Vendor Turorials |

| How long does it take for background results to come back completed? |
| On an average any screen takes typically 3-5 business days. It depends on the trainee's number of counties that need to be searched. BC Priors are graded instantly. |

| What is “driver not found” on a report and what do I do if my employee doesn't have a driver's license?
|
| If a message is provided that states driver not found on the MVR report. The company can send the background department a clear front and back copy of the person’s driver's license. The background department in return will send the information over to the multi-vendor to reprocess the search. If the employee doesn’t have a driver's license then they can put zeroes in place of the number For Example: Texas has 8 numbers so they would put 00000000 in place of the driver's license number.

| Do any of ISTC's multi-vendors offer INTERNATIONAL Screens?

| Yes, however it is the contractors responsibility to consult with the facility to determine if they will accept this type of screen.

| Are ISTC's multi-vendor background screens reciprocal with other safety councils?
|
| Yes, if the council in question is apart of the Safety Council Security Consortium(SCSC) reciprocal model,however, consult with your local safety council prior to ordering.

| What is the cost of an ISTC background screen?
|
| Effective Feb.1,2012 pricing packages will range from $61.75 to 95.75 per package. Pricing is dependent on each participating vendor.For more information, please see the background link of the ISTC website for complete list of partcipating vendors and pricing structure. |
