The Southeast Texas Safety Council (ISTC) is proud to announce the opening of its new 20,000-square-foot Badging Center, strategically located adjacent to its existing customer service and computer-based training facilities. This expansion marks a significant investment in improving efficiency, accessibility, and the overall customer experience for the region’s industrial workforce.
The new facility was designed to streamline high-volume badging operations while supporting the growing needs of Southeast Texas industry. It features six dedicated badging areas and 14 check-in stations, allowing for faster processing times and improved flow for customers and contractors. Whether individuals are arriving for training, credentialing, or site-specific requirements, the expanded layout ensures a more organized and efficient experience.
To further enhance service delivery, the center will be equipped with NextMe texting software, a real-time queue management system that notifies customers when they are approaching their turn to be served. This technology allows visitors to wait more comfortably in designated areas, reducing congestion and improving overall satisfaction during peak times.
The facility will support proximity or site badging for major industrial partners, including Beaumont New Ammonia (BNA), Dow, ExxonMobil, Indorama, Motiva, Natgasoline, TotalEnergies, and Valero. By centralizing these services in one advanced location, ISTC continues to strengthen its role as a trusted partner in workforce readiness and site access coordination. Anticipating more badging needs in the future, the facility has room to grow to support more industrial organizations for short-term operations, like for turnarounds and long-term needs.
Beyond badging operations, the new center also includes multiple conference and meeting spaces available for rental. These rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, making them ideal for industry meetings, training sessions, planning workshops, and stakeholder events. The design reflects ISTC’s commitment to supporting operational needs and collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the region’s safety and industrial community.
Comfort was also a key consideration in the facility’s design. The center offers spacious, modern waiting areas and gathering spaces that provide a professional and welcoming environment for customers, contractors, and industry partners. These areas are intended to support both efficiency and comfort during the check-in and badging process, while also
serving as informal networking and engagement spaces for the broader industrial community.
With this new expansion, ISTC continues to advance its mission of enhancing safety, improving operational processes, and supporting the industries that power Southeast Texas. The Badging Center represents a forward-looking investment in technology, customer service, and regional collaboration while ensuring that workforce access and credentialing processes remain efficient, secure, and aligned with industry needs.
